Admission Process (Management Seats)

All prospective candidates are required to legibly fill and submit the Application Form provided with the Course Guide available at the college office. Applications are to be addressed to

The Principal,
St. Thomas Arts & Science College
Puthencruz, and sent within the specified date,

The following documents shall be submitted along with the application:

  1. Photocopy of the Mark Sheet of qualifying examination.
  2. Photocopy of the Transfer Certificate from the previous institution.
  3. Photocopy of the Conduct Certificate issued by the institution last attended.
  4. Three (3) Passport-size colour photographs.
  5. A declaration by the parent or guardian and the student to abide by the rules
    and regulations of the college.
  6. Photocopy of the Community Certificate.
  7. Migration Certificate / Eligibility Certificate (if applicable).

Application shall be submitted along with the above-mentioned documents within 10 days after the publication of results. The admission of candidates to their chosen course will be made on the basis of Entrance Examination marks or qualifying examination marks, as the case may be, subject to the rules of the University and the Government and other norms laid down by the College from time to time. All admissions are provisional and subject to the approval of the University.

Eligibility

Candidates who have passed the following examinations should produce eligibility certificate from the respective authorities:

(a) HSC Examination of Kerala Government (Private Study).

(b) Private candidates from the CBSE under the Open School System.

(c) Higher Secondary or equivalent examination conducted by other State Boards in India.

 

Admission Withdrawal / Rules

All students once enrolled for a course are expected to complete the same. They shall not withdraw from the college without informing the Principal in writing. In such an event they shall be liable to pay fees for the rest of the academic year.

Rules and Regulations

The management reserves the right to admit, train, discipline and administer according to its policy and philosophy of education. Students will not be permitted to form unions or associations based on colour, creed, caste, language, religion, or ideology within the campus. Strikes and violent activities meant to bargain with influence or interference with the management are illegal. Students must take all the courses offered as an obligatory package of education from which none will be exempted. Students must maintain best behaviour in the campus and outside. Discontinuance in the middle of the course or removal from rolls for any reason will entail forfeiture of course fees for the whole duration of the course. In case of damage or loss of any property of the college, students shall be made liable, individually or severally, to compensate the same, and transfer certificates will not be issued unless the loss to the management is made good.

Tuition and special fees prescribed by the college must be paid before the last date set down by the college. Delayed payments will be subject to levy of fines. Excessive delays will entail removal of name from the college rolls and denial of attendance.

Any amount paid towards admission fee or any fee will not be refunded.
